Moon is an important image and theme in literature. Since ancient times, moon can be found in many poems, resulting in a variety of meanings. Through the image of the moon, American poet Sara Teasdale fully interprets the change of feminine association. The moon image maps from a young lady into a mature woman and the symbol of fate and solitude.
