摘要
高等教育行业自律源自大学及其从业者出于自我保护目的产生的集体性自我规范。现代社会的复杂多元使得社会治理成为必然,这也为高等教育领域的行业自律进一步提供了合法性基础。本文在阐述行业自律概念、社会治理理论与高等教育行业自律关系的基础上,对美国的高等教育行业自律机制进行了分析,并对建立中国高等教育行业自律的可行性进行了探讨,提出中国高等教育可以立足本国国情,并借鉴美国,发展替代型自律和条件型自律,涵养高等教育领域的自律文化,从而涵养一个成熟的中国高等教育。
Self-regulation of higher education here refers to collective self-regulation which aims at protecting universities and their practitioners. Social governance has become an inevitable trend in modern society, and it provides the validity for higher education self-regulation. This article describes the concept of self-regulation, the governance theories and their relations with higher education management, analyzes the institutional arrangements of American higher education self-regulation, and discusses the possibility of establishing higher education self-regulation in China.
