The gas-assisted injection moulding (GAIM) technology is a new-typed technology developed on the basis of the traditional injection moulding technology. Taking the front safety rod of the small Liberation sedan as an example, an introduction was made on the application of the GAIM technology to the improvement in the product's surface shrink marks and in the product's quality.
