The region of western Sichuan was not noly amazing and magnifficent but also filled with atmosphere ofTaoism culture during the period of Five dynasties. The development of Taoism experienced a very long history fromthe Six dynasties to Five dynasties. The Taoist philosophical connotations were very colorful and the immortal storieswere deceiving and deluding, which had a strong influence on the group mentality of people from all walks at thattime. Therefore,the study of the social trend of Thought of worship of Taoism in the region of western Sichuan has agreat significance on the further discussion of the unique mentality and creation tendency of the Sichuan writers dur-ing the period of Five dynasties.
