国外重译理论研究的新进展

New Progresses in Retranslation Studies Abroad

20个世纪90年代特别是本世纪以来,西方重译理论研究有了长足的发展。一些学者基于有关重译论断提出了各种重译假设,进行了相关实证研究,证实了重译假设的部分合理性,并对重译假设中的不合理部分提出了修正意见。关于重译的概念,至今还没有统一的看法,重译与译文修订时有混淆。学者们对重译动因的研究较多,而对何时重译研究较少,对作为重译内容之一的间接翻译几乎没有涉及。我们认为,在翻译研究中,重译研究有非重译研究所没有的比较优势。文章最后探讨了重译研究可能的途径和方向,并尝试构建出重译研究的"路线图"。

There has been a substantial development in retranslation studies in the West since the 1990s,especially at the turn of the century.A few retranslation hypotheses(RH) were formulated on the basis of some assumptions on retranslation and relevant empirical studies were conducted,verifying the partial rationality of the RH and offering revisions on irrational elements in the RH.However,no consensus has been reached on the definition of retranslation which shares a border with translation revision in practice.Most studies focused on the reason for retranslating and little attention was paid to when to retranslate.There has been little research on indirection translation as a kind of retranslation.It is held that retranslation studies,in some aspects,enjoy greater advantages than non-retranslation studies.Potential research methods and directions as well as the 'map' for retranslation studies are explored and discussed.
