摘要
作为新媒体艺术形态的录像艺术,在西方主要表征为呈现社会影像,改造大众艺术机制的激进政治功能性运用,艺术家不断探索录像作为媒介扩展艺术表现可能性。在中国,录像艺术实践经历从个人化的客观记录和艺术体验向关注现实生活,发挥艺术之批评价值和作用之转变,形成了与中国现代化进程密切相关的实践的主要内容和倾向,建构起属于自身的录像艺术语言和美学风格。
Video arts as the artistic forms of new media in the West are mainly used to present social imagery and to exert a radical and political function changing the mechanism of popular arts. In China, the practice of video arts has devel- oped its own concern and tendency closely related to Chinese modernization and constructed its own artistic language and aesthetic style by transforming objective individual records and artistic experience into the concern for social realities,and exerting the function and value of artistic criticism.
