从“白粉涂面”“柳炭画眉”开始，“化妆与造型”发展为今天高校课堂里的一门技能课，该课做为以“主持与播音”专业为依托，以服务专业为目标的基础课程，意义在于拓展学生知识面，培养大学生的审美观、创造力和技能技巧，提高大学生综合素质，展现时代精神；教师必须树立与时俱进的教学理念，提升课程的文化性、艺术性和教育性；课程教学需要精讲理论，重在实践；注重基础，关注时尚；现场示范，范例赏析等，以提高教学效果。
