Feminist Consciousness in Chinese American Women Literature——With the Samples of The Woman Warrior,The Joy Luck Club,Typical American and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

美国华裔女性文学,尤其以汤亭亭、谭恩美、任璧莲和邝丽莎等为代表,在当代美国文坛的影响愈来愈大。作为女性作家,她们在作品中都关注并探讨女性生存境况以及女性如何争取权利,流露出强烈的女权主义意识。具体来说,作品中的女主人公或通过无声的反抗,或将自己定位为双性同体,或结成姐妹情谊,以此对抗父权制的压迫,表达追求男女平等的理想。

Chinese American women writers, represented Maxine Hong Kingston, Amy Tan, Gish Jen and Lisa See, have more and more influence in contemporary American literary world. As female writers, they concern about female survival situations and how to strive for rights, showing strong feminist consciousness in their works. Specifically, the heroines of the works fight against patriarchal oppression and express their idea/of pursuing equa/ity between women and men through silent rebellion, positioning themselves as androgyny and forging sisterhood.
