摘要
系统功能语法中的及物性理论作为一种重要的语言分析工具对从小句角度阐释语言特点有很好的效果。运用系统功能语言学中属于概念功能的及物性系统,借助于Coder软件对戈尔丁的《继承者》进行数据统计,进一步分析小说的及物性特点,旨在揭示在新旧两个部落语言使用上的不同,进而探索小说更深层次的意义。
As an important framework for text analysis ,systemic functional linguistics ,especially transitivity system , has become quite influential in analyzing characteristics of language .By using the transitivity model in ideational function , this paper aims at analyzing the transitivity of William Golding ’s famous novel The Inheritors ,revealing the linguistic differences between Neanderthal and the new people and exploring deeper meanings of this novel .
