当乔治遇见青岛

JORGE'S ENCOUNTER WITH QINGDAO

还没见到乔治本人。首先被他的画吸引。那是一家西餐厅的两幅壁画，一幅是过去的德国风情，农家、牧场、草原还有壮丽的阿尔卑斯山；另一幅是过去的青岛风光，红瓦、教堂还有呼啸而来的火车……从未想过一个美国人可以描绘出如此贴切的德国景色和我们再熟悉不过的青岛。乔治坦言。画面看似简单，但他在背后做了非常多的工作。最基本的就是考虑什么样的画法最能体现城市特色，其次，要画一个地方就必须要在那里生活一段时间。才能汇聚灵感、挥洒自如。“我去过青岛博物馆、档案馆，寻找和翻阅了青岛的历史材料，只为还原当年青岛的真实模样。”

Jorge Perez Rubio's father works for an advertising company.His mother is always engaged in the work related to painting.Therefore,in his childhood,Jorge grew interested in painting. 'As long as I could remember,I held a brush to paint all the day.Painting for me was like writing words for everybody else,and it has filled my life from childhood to the present.It can be asserted that this is my life.' Currently Jorge is a fine art teacher of a school in Qingdao.He teaches the students of grades 1-12.Occasionally he trains the teachers for the school and establishes some artistic courses.His work makes the school not only a venue for the children to learn knowledge,but also a place to get happiness. 'The establishment of some artistic courses related to painting,music and dance is very important for the children,for they can cultivate their afterclass hobbies.When they grow up,one or two hobbies can help them to better enjoy life and take pride in them,' said Jorge.In Jorge's eyes,painting and teaching supplement each other.Teaching the children how to paint can help him to create better painting,which conversely can make his teaching richer. 'I think the teaching course is a treasure.By contacting with different people and teaching them how to paint,the course can give you much enlightenment to your life.Compared with teaching in the university,I prefer to teach the children how to paint.Different people have different views on the world,particularly the children.They live in their own crazy world and have their own ideology without any worry.Staying with them,I feel very happy,which is more practical for me,' said Jorge.
