Space is of great significance in Toni Morrison＇ s A Mercy. With the construction and search of home as the main narrative, this book presents the thematic implication of space, its political meaning, and its physical and psychological impact on the protagonists. Jacob＇ s Grand House, which is the narrative core of the book, adds new elements to Morrison＇ s space narrative. It is closely related to the identity of the protagonists. It influences and dominates the fate of the main protagonists of the book.
