《四库全书》体系的构建及其价值评说

A Comment on the Construction & Value of the System of Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature

诞生于18世纪80年代的《四库全书》及其《总目》、《简目》与200年后相继编纂的《存目丛刊》、《续编》、《禁毁丛刊》及电子版《四库全书》的出版 ,构建了浩博宏富的“四库”体系 ,成为集中华古籍大成的璀璨文化宝库。然而 ,“钦定”《四库全书》的巨大缺陷 ,严重影响了其使用价值 。

The Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature, its General Bibliography, and Concise Bibliography were produced in 1780s. 200 years later, its Deposit Bibliography Archives, Sequel, Banned & Destroyed Bibliography Archives and its electron version have been compiled and published in sucession. All of them have consituted a vast accumulation of the 'Four Branches' and become a bright cultural treasure - house which epitomizes the Chinese ancient books. But the defects of the Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature made by the imperial order have been influencing its use value grievously. So it must be radically reformed.
