Over the past five years,JD.com CEO Liu Qiangdong has constantly worried that his investors would lose faith in his company leading to a lack of capital.However,this worry finally seems to be part of the past as on May 22nd of this year,JD.com held the biggest ever IPO for a Chinese internet company in the US.Opening at 21.75USD,prices reached 22.50 USD at its highest point and 20.24 USD at its lowest to close out at 20.90USD,10%higher than its 19 USD offering price.Over the years,as Liu Qiangdong has worked endlessly towards an IPO he has proven time and time again that no matter if it's the power of capital,executives from other companies,Tencent or even the competition,he is more than proficient at borrowing the power of others to reach his goals.This ability to delegate resources,all the while maintaining firm control on his own company is worth further examination.
