Zhu Shenghao＇ s translation of the 31 Shakespearean plays has become classics and cultural heritage. The Complete Works of William Shakespeare was edited on the base of Zhu＇ s classical translation and finished by Chen Caiyu＇ s revision and supplementary translation. In the revision and supplementary translation, Chen maintains Zhu＇ s language styles and habits as best as possible. Especially, in the translation of Shakespearean sonnets, Chen accords with Zhu in rhyming patterns, rhythms as well as in language expression. Chen is a competent relay translator of Shakespeare＇ s works since the death of Zhu Shenghao.
