美国“飞虎队”轰炸机在广西兴安县坠毁事件调查工作述评

Review on Investigation of the Bombardment Aircraft of American Volunteer Group Crashing in Xing'an,Guangxi

1944年8月"桂柳会战"期间,美国"飞虎队"一架B-24型重型轰炸机在执行战斗任务过程中不幸坠毁于广西兴安县猫儿山山崖。1996年10月这架飞机的残骸被发现,随即中美两国对此事多次开展了调查。这种调查,既是为了还原历史真相,告慰英烈及其亲属,也是为了颂扬世界反法西斯战争中的国际援助和爱国主义精神。20世纪末,在世界政治和经济格局发生很大改变的形势下,这一工作对处于低潮的中美关系起了重要的调解作用。

During Gui Liu Battle in August, 1944, a heavy B24 bomber of American Volunteer Group unfortunately crashed on the cliff of the Mou＇ er Mountain in Xing＇ an County, Guangxi, when it was executing the combat commission. The wreckage of this bomber was not found until October, 1996. Then America and China conducted a series of investigations on it, which is not only to find out the fact of the history to comfort the heroes and their families, but also is to extol the spirit of international aids and the patriotism in the anti-Fascist war. At the turn of the century, under the situation of huge changes in world politic and economic pattern, this work played a important role in mediating the Sino-US relationship.
