“没有轨道交通的城市是一个不完整的城市“——10多年前的一句话，曾经刺痛了很多城市的心。宁波的机动车保有量2011年就突破了100万辆，单靠路面交道已经不能满足城市发展的需要，快速大容量轨道交通作为大都市的最明显基因，理应被植入这座成长中的城市。
'A city without rail transit cannot be regarded as a complete city.' 10 years ago, this saying described the embarrassing situation faced by many cities in China. In 2011, Ningbo's retain number of automobile broke through 1 million in 2011, and the ground transportation could not meet the demand of the city's rapid development. Thus, rail transit, featured by its rapid speed and large capacity, should be introduced into Ningbo. The rail transit will not only ease the traffic pressure, but also enlarge the city sale, optimize the layout of city space, and accelerate the urbanization process. Furthermore, rail transit will exert a positive impact on the development of Ningbo's manufacturing and service industry, promoting the city's upgrading and internationalization.
