《理智与情感》和《啼笑因缘》分别是英国作家简·奥斯丁和中国作家张恨水的现实主义代表作,《理智与情感》中的玛丽安与《啼笑因缘》中的沈凤喜是反映时代面貌的典型文学形象。两部小说分别以玛丽安和沈凤喜的爱情经历为主线反映社会现状,虽然她们的爱情有很多相似之处,但结局却迥然不同:玛丽安收获了美满的婚姻;沈凤喜却因折磨而疯,痛苦死去。两位女主人公的命运与所处社会有着千丝万缕的联系。

Sense and Sensibility and Ti Xiao Yin Yuan are both realistic works written by English novelist Jane Austen and Chinese novelist Zhang Henshui,respectively.Marianne in Sense and Sensibility and Shen Fengxi Ti Xiao Yin Yuan are both literary representatives reflecting the times when their authors lived.These two novels display social reality through Marianne and Shen Fengxi＇s love experience.It is discovered that the two heroines had different endings despite the similarities in their experiences：Marianne gained happy marriage at last while Shen Fengxi ended up in illness and death.Their fates have a lot to do with society.
