摘要
遥泵放大(ROPA)技术已被广泛地应用于超长站距的光传输系统中。为了使ROPA在给定链路配置下工作在最优状态,文章对ROPA中远程增益单元(RGU)的配置进行了理论建模与数值仿真。通过引入反映RGU增益和信号光信噪比共同影响的综合评判参数,获得ROPA光传输系统中RGU的最佳位置以及RGU中铒纤的最佳长度。对实际工程进行设计和挂网运行测试,论证了本优化方法的正确性。
The Remote Optical Pumped Amplification(ROPA) technique has been widely applied in ultra-long span optical transmission systems. To make the ROPA system perform optimally under a given condition, theoretical modeling and numerical stimulation are carried out for remote gain unit (RGU). The optimal RGU location and optimal erbium-doped fiber length in the RGU are obtained by introducing a synthetical evaluation parameter to reflect tile combined impact of the RGU gain and the optical signal-to-noise ratio. Finally, the design and in- line test are taken in the practical communication systems and the validity of the proposed optimized approach is verified.
