国民性视域下的大学教育之思考

Thinking on University Education from the Perspective of National Character

国民性是国民在社会生活中表现出来的价值取向,精神世界和行为方式等方面的总和。高等教育对国民性的重塑自然是责无旁贷。大学教育除了可以在课程设置、课程内容上增加通识性和人文性,在学习方法、教授方式上立足自主性和实践性外,大学教育更应该通过创设一种自由的氛围,激活师生的社会责任与使命感,承担起反思和改善社会生活的责任,培养未来社会优秀公民,为社会的变革与国民性改善提供精神上的支撑和行为上的示范。

National character includes national value orientation, spiritual world and national behavioral pattern. There is no doubt that higher education is responsible for remodeling national character.In addition to increasing the literacy and humanity in curriculum design and curriculum content, training independence and practice on learning and teaching methodology, university education should also create an atmosphere of freedom, which will motivate students＇ social responsibility and sense of mission as well as teachers＇, make them introspect and improve social life. It will cultivate excellent citizens, provide spiritual support and behavior demonstration for social reform and better national characters.
