This paper investigates the features of facts and personal attitudes presented in medical research papers,in terms of both content and form. There are three main types of facts： contextualized facts,evidential facts,and deductive facts. More often than not,the representation of facts in medical papers shows the author’ s personal attitude by indicating his or her degree of approval or certainty,with the purpose of making the representation of facts more objective. It is of great importance for both readers and authors to understand the representation of objectivity and subjectivity in medical research papers if they are to interpret or convey the information correctly.
