摘要
对茎瘤植物的种类、茎瘤的发生、茎瘤共生体的高效固氮、耐水、耐盐及耐复合态氮等特性及其可能的应用意义进行了论述。认为茎瘤共生体的特性使其在农业生产中作为水稻氮素来源可能具有广阔的应用前景,同时在一些循环特殊生境,比如矿山废弃地的植被重建中也具有重要的生态学意义。
Stem nodule symbiosis is a fascinating system of West Africa, it is characterised by :1) stem bears profuse N-fixing nodules and the infected parts increase with the growth of the plant; 2) rapid growth and high N-fixing potential;3)the marvelous tolerance to flooding; 4) the tolerance to compound N; 5) some of them have some tolerance to heavy metal; 6)the cyclic nature of symbiosis; 7)free -living growth and nitrogen fixation of Azorhizobium sp.;8)growth and nitrogen fixation of Azorhizobium sp. in N-free media. The symbiosis may have great potential in :1) as a green manure for sustainable agriculturer, and 2) as a pioneer species for the revegetation of derelict areas.
