The year 2011 is the first time to add ＂reading and writing＂ into Jiangxi Matriculation English test papers. The ＂ reading and writing＂ not only test students＂ abilities of reading comprehension, but also students＂ abilities of writing . The article aims to analyze the features of ＂reading and writing＂ in Jiangxi Matriculation English test papers 2011 and 2012, and expatiates the strategies of optimizing English reading teaehing.
