四川方言对英语专业学生英语发音的负迁移研究

Negative Transfer of Sichuan Dialects in English Majors' Pronunciation

文章通过对某样本学校401名来自四川各地的英语专业新生开展问卷调查,结合对四个样本地区各15名学生的两次录音测试结果,探讨了四川方言对英语发音的负迁移作用,并针对学生语音中的典型问题提出了相应教学策略。研究表明,四川方言对学生发音有较大程度的负面影响,但也存在正迁移作用;通过采取针对性教学策略,学生可以逐渐克服负面影响,但对少数学生长期养成的错误发音习惯,要完全纠正,还需不断模仿和长期练习。

This paper aims to investigate the negative transfer of Sichuan dialects in English majors pronunciation. In order to analyze their typical pronunciation faults and propose corresponding teaching and learning strategies, the paper carries out a questionnaire survey involving 401 students in a sampled university of Sichuan Province and two recording tests of 15 students from 4 sampled areas respectively. The results suggest that students＇pronunciation has been greatly influenced by the negative transfer of Siehuan dialects, even though some aspects of the dialect do have certain positive effect; some suggestions are also put forward to overcome the adverse influence of the negative transfer in students pronunciation.
