Metaphor is a common linguistic phenomenon. In English and Chinese language, there are many plant words containing metaphorical meaning. By classification of plants words, it will be much more systematic to illustrate this culture of metaphor both in Western and Chinese culture, and to help us to search for tile reason of these differences and similarities. Through this, we aim to have Qa successful cross-cultural communication in English and Chinese language.
