Anthony Trollope was born in a family of middle class in Victorian Britain. The contradiction and antagonism between his ideology and the real life of narrators caused by his class attribute and his unique cultural identity led Trollope to a contradictory view of word. As an omniscience narrator, Trollope depicted the church life precisely in which his structure of feeling reflected thoroughly in the Barsetshire Novels. Though was the tone light and humorous, Trollope satirized and attacked the whole value system of bourgeois society by the descriotion of church.
