摘要 近年来,英语教育在中国受到高度关注。为了能在将来的发展中获得一定的优势,"越早学习英语越好"的观念已经在家长脑海中形成,因此,很多孩子从幼儿园开始,便不得不学习英语。这一现象,被一些二语习得研究者和早教专家们所质疑,然而,如从幼儿的生理、心理以及其今后的发展分析,早学英语对幼儿而言,是有一定的好处的。 In recent decades English Education has received a high-level of attention in China and it has even become the compulsory subj ect in Chinese college entrance examination which might significantly influence children?s future development Hence many young children are be-ing asked to access to English learning much earlier than before even in kindergartens for a better preparation for their latter study However this phenomenon has been criticized and worried by many linguists of second language acquisition and early childhood educators This essay argues for the benefits of learning English earlier in respect of children's physical mental and future devel-opment.
