摘要
秉乎对翻译美学的审视,翻译制约理论不仅追求翻译的科学性,同时赋予翻译美学意义,文本审美成为翻译成果的重要考量。源文与译文的符号概念不可能完全等同,然而语言符号皆附着审美意义。制约翻译的规范是相对的,因为许多美学要素是很难迁移的。本文探讨了翻译制约理论下的审美标准,通过分析杨宪益先生《故乡》的翻译文本,探索如何通过适境求美、适体求美与适情求美实现翻译的美学价值。
Translational restraint theory pursuits aesthetics in terms of science and arts, which is a most important consideration in evaluating translation. The concepts of the linguistic signs in the source text and the target text can not be exactly the same, but each contains the aesthetic meaning.The translation criterion is relative, as many elements in beauty are difficult to transfer. This paper discusses the aesthetic standard from the perspective of restraint theory and explores the way of aesthetic modulation in keeping with the context, style and emotion by analyzing part of Yang Xianyi's translated text of Home.
