摘要
多媒体和网络技术的广泛运用使多模态教学日益成为现代教学的一个重要特征。在多模态外语课堂教学中,教师作为学习者与意义建构过程的中介者(mediator)应充分发挥其中介作用,促进学生达到更高层次的认知和学习水平。多模态外语课堂教学中,教师主要通过以下三种方式发挥其中介作用:第一、有效使用多模态PPT课件,促进学生对信息资源的优化输入;第二、充分利用距离、手势、面容等非语言模态,促进师生间的互动与交流;第三、积极利用多模态网络自主学习平台,促进学生自主学习能力的提高。
The extensive use of multimedia and network technology has made the multimodal teaching one of the important characteristics of modern language teaching. In the multimodal foreign language classroom, the teacher who acts as the mediator between the learners and the meaning construction should try to play his/her part well to help students arrive at the higher level of cognition and learning. This paper holds that the teacher may play his/her role as the mediator through the following three ways: 1) taking advantage of PPT to help students take in knowledge better; 2) making use of the non-linguistic modes like social distance, gestures and facial features to promote the teacher-student interaction and communication; 3) making the most of web-based learning platform to promote student autonomy.
