Apes——the Alternative Writing of Literati Zen Poetry in the Tang Dynasty

文人禅诗具有宗教(禅)和文学(诗)的色彩,是文人在创作中融入禅悟思维,以对现实和人生的深刻感悟为基础而形诸诗作,浸透着浓郁、强烈的禅学意蕴,具有一定的禅机、禅趣和禅意,渗透着淳淳禅韵和禅味。猿作为唐代文人禅诗中频繁出现的意象,在佛禅思想的浸染下具有了宗教性(禅性),体现出心灵的显化;禅境的外化和佛禅的化身等意蕴,开拓了猿意象的内蕴,丰富了唐诗的内容。

Literati Zen poetry, with the color of religion （Zen） and literature （poetry）, is a literati integration of thinking with writing, on the basis of poets＂ deep comprehension of reality and the life. It is saturated with rich, strong Zen meaning, permeated with the circulating Zen rime and taste. Apes, as a frequent image in literati Zen poetry in the Tang Dynasty, under the impregnation of Buddhism and Zen thought, reflected soul manifestation and Zen mood externalization, and enriched the content of the Tang Dynasty poetry.
