A Case Study of Award-winning Works in the Third Guangxi University Students Structure Design Competition

"广西大学生结构设计竞赛"是广西高校建筑类专业方面层次最高、规模最大的专业技能大赛,大赛以设计"经济、安全、实用、美观"的建筑结构模型为宗旨,并进行现场实际加载验证比拼。以第三届获一等奖作品为例,阐述如何注重加强对土建类大学生实践能力和创新能力的培养,如何提高学生对所学专业知识的认知和应用,从而激发学生的学习兴趣和创新激情,真正实现"以赛带教,以赛促学"的目的。

Guangxi University Students Structural Design Competition is the professional skills competition with the largest-scale and highest-level in architectural majors in colleges and universities of Guangxi,which aims at designing economic, safe,practical and aesthetic building structure model, coupled with on-site loading verification. Based on the case study of the first prize-winning works in in the Third Guangxi University Students Structural Design Competition,the article expounds on how to develop civil engineering students practical ability and innovation capacity,and how to improve their knowledge and application of specialized skillswith the view to stimulating their study interest and innovation passion, achieving the purpose of promoting teaching and learning through competitions
