摘要
关于高等教育的本质,我国学术界一直存在争论。近来有学者在批评高等教育"适应论"的过程中,提出高等教育的本质是知识的扩大再生产。这一观点有失偏颇,不仅在研究方法上存在类比不当,而且在客观上表现为"见物不见人",付诸实践只会进一步误导我国高校的办学方向。今天,大学虽然已经发展成为繁华的"大都会",内涵丰富,有各种各样的发展目的,但是其本质仍然在于人才培养。动摇了这一点,高等教育就失去了立足之本。
There has long been a debate within Chinese academic circles about the nature of higher education. Recently some scholars have argued that the essence of higher education lies in the expanded reproduction of knowledge while criticizing the "adaptation theory" on higher education. This argument is not only improper in terms of research methodology, but also objectively characterized by "invisible person". Putting such an argument into practice will further mislead the development of Chinese universities and colleges. Although nowadays universities have developed into a flourishing "metropolitan" with a connotation of multiple developmental purposes, the essence of university still lies in talent cultivation. Otherwise, higher education would lose its foothold.
