Introduction of the Seven-Year Liberal Arts/Medical Education Program at Boston University

Boston University offers a seven-year liberal arts/medical education program, with the first three years spent at the College of Arts ＆amp; Sciences, where students must satisfy requirements for the Bachelor of Arts and complete compulsory science courses, plus the last four years spent at the School of Medicine. Students meeting all criteria of this program are awarded the Bachelor of Arts and the Doctor of Medicine. Emphasizing arts and science, as well as humanity and medicine, this program is characterized by its integrity, consistency, flexibility, human-orientation, and high efficiency, which might shed light on the long-term medical education in our country.
