吉林农业大学创建于1948年，是吉林省属重点大学，是我国首批具有学士、硕士学位授予权的高等院校之一，1993年，成为吉林省省属院校中最早获得博士学位授权单位的高校，2011年，成为吉林省人民政府与农业部合作共建大学，并被教育部授予“全国毕业生就业典型经验高校”称号。学校办学历史悠久，办学条件优越，师资力量雄厚，校园风光别致，文化底蕴深厚，是治学育人的佳园，是吉林省农业、农村发展不可替代的、重要的人才培养摇篮和科技创新基地。

Jilin Agricultural University （JAU） , founded in 1948, is a key provincial university. It was one of the advanced colleges and universities firstly approved to have the authority to award bachelor and master degree, and the first provincial university having the authority to award doctoral degree in 1993 in Jilin Province. JAU became the cooperatively constructed university by Jilin Province Government and the Ministry of Agriculture in 2011, and was titled as ＂ The typical experienced university for national graduate employment＂ The university has long history, superior teaching condition, excellent faculties and staffs, beautiful campus, and profound cultural foundation, which forms the excellent place for education and scholarship. It is the important cradle of talent cultivation and the base of technology innovation for agriculture and development of rural area in Jilin Province.
