In this paper, a method for using MS Access database to aid calculating and realize optimization of iron ores proportioning is introduced. Compared with traditional document management system, the MS Access database system has such advantages as structured data, flexible data storage, better data sharing, lower data redundancy, better data independence and being able to be updated at any time according to the need. Adopting the software can make the iron ore proportioning calculation more accurate and faster, which is helnful for the enterurise to decrease cost and increase benefits.
