Growth Mechanism of Entrepreneurial Companies:an Exploratory Case Study

通过对传统企业和国际新创企业成长路径的案例分析发现,成长机会识别背后的驱动因素是公司创业精神;获取机会开发所需资源的保障因素是社会资本;资源能否有效利用的决定因素则是组织学习。而通过对两种企业的进一步比较分析发现,在企业成长过程中,需要不断平衡渐进式与激进式公司创业精神、探索式和利用式学习方式以及强弱关系网络的发展。企业在不同发展阶段、不同产业环境,上述平衡的程度应有所不同。

Based on case analysis of growth path,this study explores the internal growth mechanism of traditional enterprises and international new ventures,and analyzes the relationship and difference between them.Study finds that a company′s entrepreneurial spirit is the driving factor behind its growth opportunity recognition,social capital is the insured factor to acquire resources required for opportunity developing,and the efficient utilization of resources depends on organizational learning.Further analysis shows that,in the process of growth,enterprises need to keep balance of gradual and radical entrepreneurship,exploration and exploitation learning,and strong and weak relational networks.The degree of balance should vary at different stages of development and in different industrial environment.
