The internet technology is a double-edged sword:while it is extending human capability,it also brings about some negative effects.The convenience and swiftness in reception tend to make users indulged in it and become liable to “internet syndrome”;the freedom and uncontrollability of communication may offer opportunity for internet crimes;the difference in information potential may generate “internet-hegemony”among the communication groups.In view of the above,it is necessary to recognize the negative effects of internet technology and adopt effective coping strategies,especially when many developing countries are eager to develop it and the pubic are enjoying this result of modern science and technology. \ \
