美国开发西部政策的历史借鉴——兼论我国对西部地区的开发

The Historical Reference from the Policies of Western Region Development in U. S. : On the Western Region Development of China

美国联邦政府为了开发西部,采取了无偿地分配西部土地、鼓励移民、改善交通、吸引外资和先进的科学技术等一系列政策措施。在半个多世纪中,美国不仅将西部建设成为农业、畜牧业和采矿业的生产基地,而且推动了美国的工业和农业跃居世界首位。美国开发西部的经验教训,对当前我国西部大开发,有重要的借鉴作用。

In order to develop the western region , the federal government of the United States adopted a series of policies which include freely distributing land, encouraging migration to the West, attracting foreign investment and advanced technology, etc. Over half a century of development has not only changed the western region into a very important base of agricultural production, animal husbandry and mining industry in U. S., but also made U. S. become the most advanced country of the world in industry and agriculture. The expierences of the western region development in U. S. can be used as significant reference for China to develop its western region.
