区域史的研究有其难度,在传统的史籍、文献中鲜有区域民众日常社会生活的记载,相关的材料分散在方志、谱牒、笔记、小说、文集、契约、文书、碑刻、档案等文献中,要想从这些历史的碎片中重构徽州基层社会的图景,并从中探讨徽州乡村社会长期保持稳定的原因,殊为不易。多年来国内外学者从各个不同的侧面,对之进行了具体而入微的研究。这些研究有着重要的参考价值。回顾以往研究的学术史,对于我们探讨进一步深化研究的路径,无疑是十分必要的。

Related materials can be found in local chronicles, ge- nealogies, notes, novels, anthologies, contracts, documents, inscriptions, files, etc. it is painstaking to rebuild the panora- ma of the grassroots society in Huizhou, and to study the reasons for long - term stability of Huizhou rural society. Scholars home and aboard have been studying the regional history in details froln many different angels for years. These studies are im- portant references. Undoubtedly, it is necessary to look back to these studies, so we can study the path to even more in - depth research of regional history.
