摘要
随着数学科学范畴的日益拓展,多学科交叉已成为现代数学的重要特征之一。美国柯朗数学研究所(CIMS)是世界应用数学研究的中心,也是数学交叉学科发展的成功典范。文章回顾了CIMS的历史和现状,总结了柯朗所在构建交叉学科研究平台、实施宽松有效的管理等方面的成功经验,并结合国内实际情况,探讨了一些可供借鉴的积极做法。
The research fields of mathematics continue to expand. Interdisciplinary is one of the important characteristics of modern mathematics. As a worldwide research center of applied mathematics, Courant Insti- tute of Mathematical Sciences ( CIMS ) is a successful example for the study of interdisciplinary develop- ment. In this paper, the history and current situation of CIMS are first reviewed, the successful experience is concluded from the following aspects: constructing interdisciplinary research platform, implementing loose and effective management, etc. Combined with the domestic real situation, the paper explores some positive measures to provide the experience.
