Experience of Dai Shun-zhen in Treating Diabetes Combined with Stroke

戴舜珍教授是第二批全国名老中医。她认为中风的病理机制多为本虚标实,上盛下虚。在本为阴阳偏胜,气血逆乱,在标为风火交煽,痰浊壅塞,瘀血内阻。而糖尿病患者发生中风与一般人有所不同,肾燥阴虚是本病的关键,提出保护肾阴的重要性。她治疗本病还善于调达气机,作到上宣下畅,注重对先兆以及形体的观察,同时善用药对治疗本病,取得显著地疗效。但对于本病的急性期仍主张中西医结合综合治疗。

Professor Dai Shun-zhen is one of the second batch of national famous-old TCM doctors. She considers that the patho- genesis of stroke mostly bases on the theory of deficiency Ben or upper and excessive Biao or lower. The Ben shows Yin-Yang overex- cess, Qi-blood against the chaos, the Biao shows wind-fire mutualy reinforce, phlegm-stasis congestion. Diabetic stroke and common stroke is generally different, kidney dry and Yin deficiency are the keys to this disease. She raised the importance of kedney Yin pro- tection. Her treatment of the disease is also good at regulating Qi movement, done under the dispersion and fluency, focusing on obser- vation of portent and body shape, while good at treat this disease with herb drugs, obtained a significant effects. But for the acute phase of the disease she still claims combining traditional Chinese and western medicine.
