摘要
中国的崛起和实力地位的提升是当今国际关系中最引人关注的事件之一,中国成为仅次于美国的"世界老二"的说法被广泛接受。但中国作为"世界老二"的实力地位由于一些现实差距的存在而有一定的脆弱性,同时,世界形势的发展及国际安全环境的变化,也会使人们对国家"实力地位"这一概念的内涵及意义有新的认识与理解。因此,中国有必要更为深入、准确地思考有关自身实力地位问题,并在对外战略和外交工作中有所反映。
China's rise to great- power status in the world is one of the most important developments in today's world politics. Many believe that China has already moved up to No. 2 in the world ranking in terms of power status. However,China still lags behind in its hard and soft power in some areas,making its 'world No. 2'status somewhat vulnerable. The megatrend of world politics and the change of international security situation also render people a deeper and better understanding of country's power status. Therefore,China should consider its power status in a comprehensive way when carrying out its foreign strategy and diplomacy.
