Tone and Rhythm Characteristics of Soo Wu Folk Ballad in the Context of Cultural Threshold

苏吴民歌被称为"吴歌",是文学史上对长江太湖流域苏吴方言区民间歌曲、民歌、民谣的总称,它与其特定人文和生态环境相生相伴,不仅是我国吴文化的可鉴资源,也是世界文化宝库的一部分。本文主要考察以苏州为中心区域的吴民歌流传范围、曲目、唱词,探究苏吴民歌的艺术特色及其韵味与这一地域的文化背景、民风民俗、吴侬软语方言的依存关系。

Soo Wu folk ballad is generally recognized as Wu song. It is a generic terms of folk ballad, song, and mu sic in Soo and Wu region in Yangtze River and Taihu Lake area. It grows up with specific humanistic and ecological environment, and it is the precious resource of Wu culture and a part of world cultural treasury as well. This paper mainly investigates the spreading scope, tracks, ballads words of Wu song centered on Soochow area, and explores the dependence relationship between the artistic features and lingering charm of Wu song and the cultural background, custom, and dialect of this region.
