摘要
在1921年前后,柏格森哲学风靡中国学界,期间出现了柏格森哲学与佛学相关性的系列论辩,章太炎、吕澂、梁漱溟、黎锦熙等人先后参与其中。章太炎、黎锦熙等认为柏格森哲学与佛学相通,以"直觉"、"生命冲动"等范畴相合于唯识学的阿赖耶识等观念,而吕澂、梁漱溟则对此持反对意见。通过考掘相关原始文献材料,可以将这一论辩之始末梳理出来。事实上,这两种对立的看法,也代表了中国思想界百余年来对待"中西比较"问题的两种不同典型态度。
When Bergsonism was widely spread in China'academic circle around 1921,the debate on the correlation between Bergsonism and Buddhism appeared and ZHANG Tai-yan,LV Cheng,LIANG Shuming,LI Jin-xi and other scholars took part in this debate successively. Zhang and Li argued that Bergsonism and Buddhism were related to each other,believing that the categories such as 'intuition'and 'vital impetus'conform to Alaya-consciousness and other concepts in the doctrine of Mere-consciousness. Lv and Liang held an opposite opinion. Through the exploration of original materials,this paper outlines the whole course of this debate and argues that these two opposite opinions represent typical attitudes toward the 'comparative study of China and the West'in the past more than one hundred years.
