摘要
本文基于动态系统理论,结合国内外实证研究,引入数学模型—逻辑斯谛函数,对外语学习过程中英汉双语的博弈及发展进行了探讨。认为认知发展受有限性资源的限制,过早学习外语不仅会对汉语造成一定的磨蚀,外语本身也很难达到预期效果。根据动态系统理论,进而提出外语学习应在汉语达到较为稳定的状态,即汉语习得形成稳定框架之后开始,同时在双语学习的过程中,只有保持双语资源的均衡发展,才能促进英汉双语的共同发展。希望对外语教学改革提供一定的借鉴和指导作用。
The paper discusses English-Chinese game and its development in the foreign languages (FLs) learning based on dynamic systems theory, a mathematical model--the logistic function, and the empirical studies both at home and abroad. It is found that learning FLs at an earlier age may not only lead to Chinese attrition, but they cannot be learned very well owing to the limited resources of cognitive growth. According to the theory of dynamic system, they should not start until the learners reach relative stability in their mother tongue. At the same time, a balanced development of bilingual resources should be maintained to promote the parallel development of Chinese and English in the process of bilingual learning. The findings will hopefully provide certain guidance to FLT reform in China.
