康雍乾三朝不但是中国历史上清代统治的鼎盛时期,同时也正值世界舞台上欧洲诸强开始崛起的时代。即便当时的清朝采取"闭关锁国"的对外政策,中西文明依然不可避免地进行了交流和碰撞,而当时西方人眼中的康雍乾三帝形象,则是考察中西文化交流碰撞的关键。

The reigns of Emperors Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong were not only at the height of the Qing Dynasty in the Chinese history, but also in the period when European powers began to play grand roles on the world stage.
