A Tentative Study on the Yu Quan Guan Yinju in Modern Times

光绪时期,中央财权下移,河南省效仿湖北省等地于开封设立官办金融机构——豫泉官银钱局。这一时期,豫泉官银钱局的业务及规模拓展力度很大,发行了多种类型且数量庞大的钞币。民国时期,豫泉官银钱局历经数次改组而最终退出历史舞台。

In the Guangxu period, as the central financial authority was decentralized to the local government, Henan followed the example in Hubei province to set up the government - owned financial institutions in Kaifeng - Yu Quan Guan Yinju（ one kind of financial institution in that time and its name was Guan Yinju）. During the Guangxu period, the Yu Quan Guan Yinju expanded the scale of its business as well as its dimensions and issued a large number of various types of banknotes. However, Yu Quan Guan Yinju underwent several times of restructuring and finally had been far behind of history stage in Republic of China.
