五四文化激进主义者,一方面以推翻儒学的统治为旨归,致力于中国学术的现代转型,另一方面,他们又对传统文化有着浓厚的兴趣,利用西学来裁剪中学,达到了中西融合的效果。五四文化激进主义对推进中国学术的发展,有着至关重要的意义。

The radicalism of the May 4th Movement dedicate themselves to overthrow the rule of Confucianism; however, they are interested in the traditional culture .They use the western culture to reform the Chinese culture and achieved the fusion of Chi-nese and western.culture .It is the cultural radicalism that has promote the development of Chinese academic during the May 4th Movement .
