This article introduce analyzed result of a cast iron cylinder explosion accident, and find the damage model of cast iron cylinder. On the basis of damage model, the regularly inspection strategy of the cast iron cylinder is formulated, which includes macro inspection, wall thickness determination, the hydraulic pressure test. Practice proves that this inspection strategy could achieve the unity of effectiveness and economy.
