Metal bellows expansion joint is an important pressure piping component and widely used in industry. This paper briefly describes its current situation,introduces and compares the major domestic standards of bellows expansion joints. It also analysizes the problems of buckling deformation,fatigue damage,welding,comprehensive stress and other issues happened on bellows expansion joint. This paper introduces the instance of bellows expansion joint failure,and analysizes the reasons for the failure.
