Research on the Readers' Cultivation in Public Library

公共图书馆是人们获取知识的宝库,是传播文化的一种渠道。随着网络技术的发展和社会信息服务机构的大量出现,公共图书馆不再是读者获取各种信息知识的唯一途径,公共图书馆面临读者流失的困境。在分析公共图书馆读者流失现象及其原因的基础上,探讨了公共图书馆读者群培育策略。

The public library is a treasure for people to obtain knowledge, is a channel to disseminate culture. With the development of network technology and the appearance of many social information service institution, public libraries are no longer the only way for readers to get variety informations and knowledge. Public libraries are facing the difficulty of readers outflow. This paper analyses the phenomenon of readers outflow and its reasons in the public library, and discusses strategies to cultivate readers.
